I am 21, 4 weeks out from graduating and excited. Also, exhausted, I work as a server nightly and am only getting 4-5 hours of sleep. I love it though. So this first post is going to be about my student teaching. I am an intense interventions K-12 and mild K-6. My first placement was in a k-3 resource room. It was absolutely amazing. I learned more about passion then all four years of college. There were students who came hungry who we fed. Students who were having emotional issues at home, who we consoled. Students who were tired, who we covered with blankets as they slept. My teacher said "We have to meet the student's emotional, physical, and social needs before we ever reach them academically." I have not been able to get that out of my head.
My second placement is in a 3-6 life skills classroom. I have students who are all different levels. I have figured out a lot more differentiation in this classroom. I have taken over all the planning and let me tell you, this is a hard job. I have never been able to be in charge of anything so this is all so new. I am awkward so breaking out of this has been super hard. I
